A visit to the theatre is an occasion to be enjoyed, and a visit to The Little is no exception: all our staff and volunteers strive to make your evening an entertaining and enjoyable one. If you have any questions while visiting, please do not hesitate to ask one of the front of house team. Here you will find information on getting to the theatre, parking and the facilities available during your visit.
COVID-19 Special measures: The City Council have reversed the direction of Dover Street and closed off the entrance to Dover Street car park. These changes are NOT shown in Google Maps and most Satnavs! See a revised plan of the area.
There is convenient 24-hour parking available opposite the theatre in the Dover Street car park. On show nights, the car park does tend to fill up early, but there is also a large NCP multi-storey across from the Dover Street car park in East Street. Please allow plenty of time to park and walk to the theatre; the ticket machines in both car parks can be slow, especially if paying by contactless, and we do not like to delay the start of a show to have to admit latecomers.
Please try to plan to arrive at least 15 minutes before the start of the show (show start times are given on your ticket). If you arrive earlier then it is easier to park and you can enjoy a drink in the theatre bar.
The theatre bar is open on show nights from around 45 minutes prior to the show start time. The bar serves alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks in bottles, along with tea and coffee. Payment is preferred by contactless card.
Interval drinks can be ordered prior to the start of the show and picked up in the main foyer during the interval.
If you wish to take your drink into the theatre auditorium, please ask the bar staff for a plastic glass. Please take all glasses back to the bar at the end of the show.
The theatre has good facilities for those with physical impairments, including a lift to assist with wheelchair access, an infra red audio amplification system, and audio described performances. Please see our separate web page on accessibility for further details.
Trained first aid staff are on duty during every performance in the theatre auditorium to provide immediate assistance to patrons should they require it.
The theatre is currently running as a COVID secure venue. We have been awarded a ‘See It Safely’ mark by the theatre industry to show that our venue is safe for patrons to visit. For further information on measures that we have in place to ensure our patrons’ safety, please visit our web page on FAQs on Coronavirus.
